AKC - German Shorthaired Pointer
The German Shorthaired Pointer is a versatile hunter, an all-purpose gun dog capable of high performance in field and water. The judgement of Shorthairs in the show ring reflects this basic characteristic. The overall picture which is created in the observer's eye is that of an aristocratic, well balanced, symmetrical animal with conformation indicating power, endurance and agility and a look of intelligence and animation.

The German Wirehaired Pointer is a well muscled, medium sized dog of distinctive appearance. Balanced in size and sturdily built, the breed's most distinguishing characteristics are its weather resistant, wire-like coat and its facial furnishings. Typically Pointer in character and style, the German Wirehaired Pointer is an intelligent, energetic and determined hunter.

AKC - English Setter
An elegant, substantial and symmetrical gun dog suggesting the ideal blend of strength, stamina, grace, and style. Flat-coated with feathering of good length. Gaiting freely and smoothly with long forward reach, strong rear drive and firm topline.

AKC - Pointer
The Pointer is bred primarily for sport afield; he should unmistakably look and act the part. The ideal specimen gives the immediate impression of compact power and agile grace; the head noble, proudly carried; the expression intelligent and alert; the muscular body bespeaking both staying power and dash.

The Labrador Retriever is a strongly built, medium-sized, short-coupled, dog possessing a sound, athletic, well-balanced conformation that enables it to function as a retrieving gun dog; the substance and soundness to hunt waterfowl or upland game for long hours under difficult conditions; the character and quality to win in the show ring; and the temperament to be a family companion.

German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America
The GSPCA is the official representative of the German Shorthaired Pointer to the American Kennel Club. this non-profit organization is dedicated to encouraging and promoting the breeding of purebred German Shorthaired Pointers, and to doing all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. As the Parent Club, the GSPCA is charged with doing all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trial, field trials and hunting tests.

German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue
GSP Rescue is an organizational tool for those who have the capacity to love their breed beyond the regard they hold for their own personal dogs. They have volunteered to assist German Shorthaired Pointers who need homes. These dogs may be in shelters and pounds, from which they must be taken, given health care, reconditioned or trained and placed. The unwanted dog may also come directly from a home where circumstances have changed or the family is breaking up. In these cases, we help the family find an appropriate new home for the dog.

German Shorthaired Pointer, Dog breed info
The German Shorthaired Pointer is a clean-cut, lean, well-balanced, hunting dog with an elegantly chiseled head. The muzzle is long, but never pointed. The length of the muzzle should be the same as the length of the skull. Unlike the English Pointer, the occipital bone is not very conspicuous nor is there a pronounced stop.

English Setter Dog Breed Info
The English Setter is a beautiful, elegant, slim setter with a unique speckled coat. The specking may be more or less heavy and the markings may be of any size. The long hair is flat, silky and a bit wavy. The coat comes in white with blue, lemon, orange, or brown speckling.
